A direct food printer is a printer that applies printing techniques directly to food. Such machinery was developed in the 1990s and has grown proficient in bakery works like decorating cakes. They also have multifarious applications during food technology classes of higher learning institutions. These have relative applications in schools and larger multifunction writing establishments. Like an inkjet printer, direct food printers use edible inks that are sprayed onto the surface of the food. To attract customers, other types of printers are able to print in several colors which enhances the complexity of the food design making the food products more appealing commercially and domestically.
